About Pineapples

Pineapples, LLC was founded in January 2010 by Kathryn “K.C.” Long,  a lifelong resident of the Greater Richmond area. K.C. enjoyed her childhood growing up in Midlothian with her parents and two older sisters. After graduating with a degree in Business and Education from Mary Baldwin College, she returned to Richmond and now resides within the city with her husband, Howie and baby girl, Carter Virginia . She is an active volunteer throughout  the Richmond area as well as a member of many organizations including Retail Merchant’s Association, Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, MENTOR Richmond, Westminster Presbyterian Church as well as the Hands On Richmond  Day Marketing Committee. In her free time, K.C. enjoys  cooking, golfing, skiing & most of all spending time with her family & friends.

K.C. has fond memories of an ornate fruit display that would hang over the entrance to her family’s home throughout the holidays and of hearing the story behind the pineapple, which was always the centerpiece of that display. When K.C. began to follow her passion and start up her own Welcoming Service, she couldn’t think of a name that fit better than Pineapples!
